Starting in 1995 with Carpenter, Realtors®, he immediately served & participated in Hendricks County Division committees and events. He was then selected Hendricks County Realtor of the Year 2001. Carpenter REALTORS® offered him the opportunity to open their first office in the Boone County market on October 1, 2001.

In 2002, Phil organized the Boone County Division of MIBOR to bring a cohesive atmosphere of Realtors, title and mortgage companies in the market serving, organizing & participating in Boone County Division committees & events. He was then selected Boone County Realtor of the Year 2006, 2007 and Distinguished Service Award 2008.

Phil serves on MIBOR's Grievance Committee, MIBOR Economic Development Council and Boone County EDC and Boone County Division RPAC & MPAC committees. Educational experiences such as MIBOR's Real Estate Academy of Leadership has had a great impact on his business which he extends to others in the industry. He was honored as MIBOR 2012 Realtor of the Year and Distinguished Service Award 2014 & 2016.
